Culture and Food

This was my first taste of june plum juice!!!!!! The best juice I have ever had in my LIFE. It tasted soooo familiar and I asked if it was made from a fruit Trini’s call pomsite and they looked at me like I had 2 heads…but we figured out it is the same fruit:) It is facinating not only how different each culture uses the food we have in our world but even the language used to describe that food.

It is all rooted in history which has such depth and meaning. Love it.

  1. Pomsite, Well there you go! Lol I learned something new. It’s just like how other parts of the Caribbean call our Ackee…cashew. June plum is really nice and so is the cherry juice. Yum!
